Ford vs Ferrari Movie Review ★★★★☆

Ford vs. Ferrari is the race drama, grounded on the real story of rivalry between two automobile power houses- Ford and Ferrari, battling out for the ultimate glory which in this case, is 1966 24 hours of Le Mans. Ford vs. Ferrari possesses the ethos of the race car driving era with adrenaline filled races, passion for being the one to break the world record and becoming triumphant. It is based on the real story of famous American car designer Carroll Shelby played by Matt Damon and British born race car driver Ken Miles played by Christian Bale, showcasing their journey together to build the fastest car to beat previous 4 times Le Mans winner “Ferrari”.
The chemistry between Matt Damon and Christian Bale is the main highlight of the whole movie. The love-hate relationship between them, their friendship and the bond they share drives major storyline of the movie. Matt Damon and Christian bale are best at their individual performance. Christian bale as a hotheaded loudmouth and Matt Damon as the rather cool and composed personality puts forth a commendable performances.
The cinematography is another good aspect of the movie, cinematographer Phedon Papamichael brilliantly presents the racing sequences which keeps us on the edge of our seats.
I felt that the movie shows the blatant exceptionalism of the great America portraying them as good and other side as bad. Regardless of the issue I really enjoyed watching the movie and in my view the movie is a must watch for car enthusiasts or even non-car enthusiasts. However, the length of the movie could be made more tighter, 2 hour and 32 minutes seems a bit too drag. Overall the movie is a must watch and I could see the movie lining up to the Oscars for supporting actor, director and cinematographer category. Ford vs. Ferrari is one of the best movies of 2019 and it will be placed in history with other memorable car racing movies like Rush (2013).

Trance (2020) Malyalam - Movie Review

Trance (2020) We all have been adhered in some way or other to our own form of conceptualized deity. On devoting our dedication towards our holy gods, the middleman calling themselves proprietary god-men who boasts about inheriting supreme powers to directly contact god and claiming to eradicate any human problems are constantly ripping of devotees off their money and belief. 2020 psychological Malayalam movie Trance is one such movie which blatantly evinces the company some people are running to cash in to the beliefs of gullible and religious people. Fahadh Faasil plays a small town motivational speaker Viju Prasad who dreams of becoming a successful motivational speaker someday. Having a rough childhood along with his delusional brother, Viju finds himself in a situation where he is approached by few white collar people to work for them as the face of the Christian pastor who performs staged miracle hence convincing devotees into the greater scam of buying their holy w...

Ghost Stories- A Review★★★

After previous anthology movies like “Bombay Talkies” and “Lust Stories” our fab four turns their head into the genre of horror with the latest Netflix release “Ghost Stories”. Like the previous ones this movie also consists of four stories directed by Zoya Akthar, Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banarjee and Karan Johar. Let’s discuss and review the four stories. Zoya Akthar- The major premise for Zoya’s story revolves inside a house where a nurse Sameera played by Janhvi Kapoor is on her duty to take care of an old lady Mrs Malik played by Surekha Sikri. Surekha Sikri’s errie look and appearance certainly brings the spookiness to the story. We feel invested in the story and Janhvi Kapoor with her dialects and decent acting shows some improvement from her previous works.   Anurag Kashyap- Anurag’s story is the most mind bending one among the all with many visual symbolisms and metaphors. Anurag chooses the de-saturated theme with hard to detect colors present in the s...
